IM MASTERCLASS: WINNING DECISIONS
Think Better. Calculate Smarter. Convert More Games.
A 6-week interactive online program with IM Emmanuel Jimenez Garcia for competitive players rated USCF 1000+.
“At the tournament level, games are often lost not because a student doesn’t know enough chess—but because they make the wrong decision at a critical moment. Winning Decisions teaches students how to slow down, identify the right candidate moves, calculate efficiently, anticipate the opponent’s best resources, and convert advantages into wins.”
THIS IS NOT A PASSIVE LECTURE
Students are given a real position.
They think first.
They choose a move.
Then IM Jimenez breaks down the decision with them.
“The goal is not just to find the right move—it is to build a repeatable decision-making process students can use in their own tournament games.”
WHAT STUDENTS WILL LEARN
1. Candidate Moves — How to identify the moves that actually deserve calculation.
2. Efficient Calculation — How to decide which lines to calculate and when you have calculated enough.
3. Opponent’s Resources — How to anticipate the opponent’s strongest reply before committing.
4. Position Evaluation — How to recognize what matters most in a position and set the right priorities.
5. Converting Advantages — How to turn a better position into a full point.
