2026 Chess in the park – blitz tournament

EVENT:

• Swiss 7 rounds Blitz SS G3d2 for K-12 Students (Not Regular Rating)
• 2 half point byes allowed. Request at Entry.

Date/Location:

• Sunday, October 4th 10AM Eastern @ Allenwood Park, Great Neck.
  Check-in begins at 9:30AM, Round 1 starts at 10AM.
  
  

DETAILS:

• This is a USCF Event. A USChess ID is required to register.($20/year for youth member)

• All registration must be made online on our website. Register below.
• Please arrive 15 minutes before the tournament. First round starts at 10AM. Your clock will start running once round 1 starts.
• Open to all K-12 Students
• Boards, chess pieces and scoresheet will be provided.  Please bring your own chess clock.

Game Play:

• 7 Rounds Blitz SS (Swiss System) | Time Control: G3d2(Game in 3 minutes, 2-second delay)
• This is Blitz Rated and not Regular rating rated tournament Regular rating will not be affected. The higher of the regular or quick ratings will be used for pairing purpose.
• 2 half point byes allowed.
• Rounds (Inter-Round Raffles: Win gift cards & exciting prizes between rounds!)
  • Round 1 start at 10:00AM
  • Round 2 start at 10:15AM
  • Round 3 start at 10:30AM
  • Round 4 start at 11:00AM
  • Round 5 start at 11:15AM
  • Round 6 start at 11:30AM
  • Round 7 start at 11:45AM
  • Ceremony at 12:30PM

• September Monthly published rating will be used for pairing. (Blitz or Regular)

• Registration closed on October 3rd midnight:, but early registration is highly encouraged and appreciated.
